observations of my world through an (almost) daily collage

more often than not, this summer break has given me space to wonder about what kind of skyline I’d like to have in the future and who I’d like to share it with been working on a separate project, to show how alone we were during the covid-19 lockdown, even in a dense, high-rise apartment when im in my own space and drawing, it’s just me and the drawing, and nothing else really matters. when everything happen all at once, you lose sight of what to focus on and who you’re supposed to be. a shophouse by the sea, a slow road and the infinite freedom to go wherever and whenever- a peaceful setting for a chaotic day behind every successful city is a man willing to do all the dirty work, to be there when the going gets tough and to believe in a greater good beyond himself a simple collage tonight; when fire stations hold open houses every Saturday, the shift becomes more performative for the public to enjoy, blurring what is fun and what is meant to be life and death away from the crowd to be with friends and enjoying simple pleasures- that’s the best kind of afterparty i had a dream this morning where all of my worlds collided and it made me wonder how the simplest things we do can compound over time into something we would, at first, deem as irrational.
